Мэй очень шло её новое одеяние: бордово-чёрное, с затейливым и неброским узором золотой нитью, изнутри оно было обито мехом чёрном лисицы – гладкий, блестящий, бесконечно элегантный. Ей вообще шло тепло одеваться – Зуко слабо мог себе представить Мэй в купальнике, обнаженность – это просто не её. Хотя, как только он вообразил себе её голые плечи и тонкие руки, его бросило в жар, и принц – теперь уже Лорд – поспешил отвернуться.

Зуко взял свою невесту за руки: ради него она сняла бархатные перчатки, и теперь её узкие кисти стали холодными и розоватыми от щиплющего кожу мороза. Он начал дышать на пальцы, стараясь согреть и размять их. Мэй смущенно улыбается: ей всегда очень неловко, когда Зуко проявляет к ней такую нежность – да и тем более где, на людях!
